Aberdeen Live-in Treatment Program

Aberdeen Live-in Treatment Program is an eight-bed residential youth treatment program supported by Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK) staff. Students work towards attaining therapeutic goals set for themselves with the support of both a therapist and a primary counsellor in the residence. Youth work towards the improvement of social and life skills along with important self-regulation skills.

School is delivered by an on-site Halton District School Board teacher and provides a variety of learning opportunities both in the classroom and the community. Student programs are individualized to meet the needs of each student individually while emphasizing their strengths and interests. Learning experiences are diverse and emphasize literacy, numeracy, and Healthy Active Living while developing learning and social skills.

An interdisciplinary approach is used to support the youth which includes psychologists, behaviour therapists, and other disciplines as needed.

The average length of stay is approximately six months.
